System Goals:
Make a big store of media include (presentations, learning objects, documents, flash documents and simulations) produced by Universities academic staff members in order to share it with searchers and students to make use of resources.

DML resources:

System user roles

  1. Researchers
    Search for media(items) on our DML library based on specific criteria like:
    1. Item author name
    2. Item title
    3. Item description
    4. Item keywords
    5. Item goals
    6. Item type
    7. Item scientific specialization
    8. University of item author
    9. Collage of item author
    10. Item publish date on DML
  2. Center Member
    This account is for data entry persons who are working on sub-centers of National E-learning Center (NELC), the owner of DML.
  3. Administrator
    a member of NELC team responsible for reviewing data and make items acceptance and publishing.

 

In order to publish an item on DML, item will go through number of steps:

  1. University academic staff member go to electronic learning center (UELC) located in his university and fill application form with his personal data and item's details.
  2. Center member upload these data on DML through (Add Item form).
  3. A notification mail sent to DML administrator and center member who upload these data, this mail contain item unique code and let them know that there is a new item uploaded and it is waiting for administrator confirmation.
  4. Item listed in "waiting confirmation items" and can be viewed by both admin & center member.
  5. DML admin review item details uploaded by center and confirm or reject this item.
  6. An E-mail sent to both admin and center member to notify them that item with code "$code" is confirmed or rejected.
  7. If admin confirm item it is listed in "waiting evaluation items", and if he rejected this item it will be listed in "Rejected items".
  8. In "waiting rejected items" admin can edit item data and confirm it or he can delete it.
  9. If item is confirmed, center member can evaluate item through "criteria list" change according to type of item.
  10. Center member determine if that item is ready for publish or not according to "criteria list".
  11. An E-mail sent to both center member and admin notify that item with code "$code" is approved or not.
  12. If item is approved it will be listed in "waiting publish items" and if not it will be listed in "disapproved items".
  13. Admin can review item details and download evaluation form which center member has filled, then admin can publish it or delete forever.
  14. If admin publish the item, it will be listed in "published items".

  2. Reducing publishing stages
  3. Improving reporting systems and follow-up results and Statistics
  4. provide Access control list  (ACL) system.
